Applications of the VCI Film
VCI plastic film is widely used in military, metallurgical, machinery, auto parts, and hardware industries. It provides an easy, affordable way of rust prevention on metals in process, shipping and storage. VCI film needs to be wrapped around metal products as soon as they are washed and dried out. According to the type of metal to be packed and the allowable packaging space required by your specific packaging applications, we would figure out the length of VCI packaging film needed and whether to use other corrosion protection chemicals. Special care needs to be taken when packing iron castings. Cast iron products should have their surface pretreated before being wrapped with VCI packaging material. If the products are to be shipped out abroad, we suggest you use VCI paper or anti-rust grease to go with our VCI film for optimal corrosion protection.

Storage
Please keep the VCI film dry, out of direct sunlight, and sealed in its original bag, carton or container. The shelf-life of VCI packaging film is 1 year starting from the date of manufacture.
