Ope wax used in ink for enhancing wear resistance
Oxidized polyethylene wax is a product obtained by subjecting polyethylene wax to an oxidation process. This oxidation introduces polar functional groups such as carboxyl and hydroxyl groups, conferring the following key properties: high hardness and high melting point; excellent wear resistance; and good dispersibility.
Specific applications and advantages in printing inks:
Printed material durability: Widely used in printed materials requiring high abrasion resistance, such as:
Packaging inks: Packaging boxes for food, daily chemicals, and other items subject to frequent handling and friction.
Label and film printing: Particularly for soft packaging materials like PE and PP requiring scratch resistance.
Banknote and security printing inks: Where resistance to wear and tear is paramount.
Book cover inks: Preventing scuffing during transportation and handling.
